Explained

Private Label vs White Label Candles.

Both put your brand name on the candle. The difference is how much of the candle is actually yours — and we manufacture both in Los Angeles.

A white label candle is a product that already exists. The wax system, vessel and scent are ours; your label and packaging go on the outside. A private label candle is built to your specification — you choose the wax, the wick, the vessel, the fragrance and the finish, and the resulting product is made for your brand alone.

Side By Side

The Practical Differences.

The product

An existing candle we already manufacture — our wax system, our vessel, a scent from our library.

A candle developed for your brand: your wax, wick, vessel, fragrance load and finish.

Who owns the look

Your label and packaging go onto a product other brands may also sell.

The build is specified by you, so the finished product is specific to your line.

Development work

Little to none — choose a scent and vessel, approve a sample, print labels.

Formulation, fragrance submissions and burn testing until the candle performs the way your brand needs.

Speed

The fastest route to market, because nothing has to be developed or sourced.

Longer, driven by fragrance approvals and component lead times on vessels and packaging.

Cost

Lower up front — no development, and stock components carry no custom tooling.

Higher up front, quoted per project; run size and components drive the unit cost.

Best for

Testing a market, gift and amenity programs, or adding a candle to an existing line.

Brands whose scent and vessel are part of the identity, and hospitality signature scents.

Deciding

Which One Fits Your Project.

Choose White Label If

  • You want product on shelf or online as fast as possible.
  • You are validating whether a candle sells to your audience at all.
  • Your budget is better spent on marketing than on development.
  • A gift, amenity or event program needs a good candle, not a unique one.

Choose Private Label If

  • The scent is part of your brand and has to be yours.
  • The vessel, color or finish has to match an existing product family.
  • You are building a collection across candle, diffuser and room spray.
  • You expect to reorder and scale, so per-unit economics matter more than speed.

Plenty of brands do both: launch white label to prove the market, then move into private label once the volume justifies developing a scent and vessel of their own. Because both run on our own floor in Northridge, that transition does not mean changing manufacturer.
